These routes keep historic centers on foot, flag mountain heat and narrow village access, and treat sherry and wine country as designated-driver territory rather than a tasting obstacle course.
The pueblos blancos are not a single scenic road but a mountain network. Arcos introduces the cliff-edge town, Zahara looks across a reservoir, Grazalema sits in an unexpectedly green sierra, Setenil builds streets beneath rock and Ronda saves the deepest gorge for last.
Follow olive country to Córdoba, cross Doñana toward Cádiz or turn north-west into the Sierra de Aracena and Roman Extremadura.
